F commerce, the big online business of Facebook
The social network will give business opportunities to companies seeking to provide goods and services, an example is Fansnap application that provide users with information on social events.
Today I heard a new expression: the f-commerce. The ‘f’ is Facebook, and refers to transactions that occur in that alternate universe is not only the web, not just mobile and definitely not a physical store. It is actually the trade in that friendly service is moving to all digital media platforms.
The first manifestation of f-commerce was Zynga, the game company ‘social’. Zynga is social because their relatively primitive games are free and occur primarily on Facebook. The money comes from transactions strangely counter-intuitive, but incredibly profitable with a virtual currency: the purchase of goods and services that work only in the game. When Zynga expected to submit its documents for its initial public offering, the world will see how much money can be made on the platform ‘f’.

Brands increase their investment in social networks for Christmas
While print advertising continues to lead the Christmas spending, advertising budgets for this campaign are changing as advertisers’ confidence in online channels grows. According to BDO USA, 27% of marketers surveyed said they spend much of their advertising in social networks, a figure considerably higher than the 18% in 2009. On the other hand, 42% of respondents spend most of their advertising budget for the Christmas campaign in print and 25% in the media.
The study also shows that 75% of respondents included social networks in their marketing strategies, which in 2009 was 51%. And while most spent a small part of their marketing efforts on social media, 18% said that at least 20% of your marketing efforts are targeted at these platforms.
